Physical Therapy Pain-Free Yoga Workshop
Pain-free yoga / movement
Yoga practice sometimes happens to be painful. Why? Sometimes we have injuries unrelated to yoga while some cases are caused by misunderstanding your body needs and individuality during yoga practices. Any kind of movement is necessary for our bodies, but is there a way to move more efficiently in yoga? How do we deal with herniated discs in Upward facing dog? How can our knees be pain-free in Utkatasana? Is there a link between your feet and neck problems?
We will discuss most common yoga poses and exercises in different perspectives. We will also approach our body and it's unique way of moving and coping with injuries or issues.
You will get a slow paced, Iyengar yoga infused and individually aligned yoga practice by a 200 ERYT (Yoga shanti, New York) and physical therapist (master degree) Gilija Bernotiene. Gilija has been teaching physical therapy yoga for more than 11 years.
This workshop will be held Saturday, December 28th 12-1:30pm
