Join us for an artsy Friday night, 17th of November, from 6-9 pm
Learn to paint a majestic eagle led by art instructor Ieva Bagdonas.
Eagles represent honesty, truth, majesty, strength, courage, wisdom, power and freedom. As they roam the sky, they are believed to have a special connection to God. According to traditional American Indian beliefs, the Creator made all the birds of the sky when the World was new.
Eagles (and their feathers) are highly revered and considered sacred within American Indian traditions, culture, and religion. They are honored with great care and shown the deepest respect.
In this painting workshop, Ieva will guide you through the painting process and explain acrylic painting techniques, rendering, layering, and everything you need to know to paint a gorgeous eagle. All levels are welcome. Whether you are an expert in painting or have never held a brush before, you will be given all the tools and instructions to enjoy the process and successfully complete the painting you can be proud of. Stencils will be available.
Ieva is an art instructor and currently a student in a BFA program at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Organizing and leading painting workshops is one of Ieva's great passions, allowing her to share the knowledge and pleasure of painting with others.
We will provide all painting supplies, including 10x20” canvas.
